Md. Code Ann., State Gov't § 9-2432

Unless authorized under this part to provide sign language interpretation services, an individual may not represent to the public, by use of a title, by description of services, methods, or procedures, or otherwise, that the individual is authorized to provide sign language interpretation services in the State.
