Mich. Comp. Laws § 124.725

Sec. 75. (1) Metropolitan arts council members shall serve without compensation but upon approval of a majority of delegates serving may be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of the council's official duties. (2) A metropolitan arts council shall prepare annually a budget that provides as a separate account anticipated expenditures for per diem compensation and expense reimbursement for the chairperson and other council delegates. Compensation or reimbursement shall be paid to the chairperson and other council delegates only if budgeted.
