Registering individuals; compensation prohibited; violation as felony; penalty

Sec. 932c. (1) A person shall not provide compensation to another person for registering individuals to vote that is based upon any of the following: (a) The total number of individuals a person registers to vote. (b) The total number of individuals a person registers to vote in a particular political party. (2) A person who violates this section is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 5 years or a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or both.
