Production of books, papers, and documents; examination; testimony; oaths

Sec. 424. (1) Upon demand of the director or any person duly designated by the director, an officer or employee of the state government shall produce for examination, the books of account, papers, and documents of their respective department or agency and shall truthfully answer all questions relating thereto. (2) In connection with an examination, the director, or any person duly designated, may take testimony of witnesses, may administer oaths and examine such persons as may be necessary, and may compel the production of books, records, and papers.
