Mich. Comp. Laws § 207.1057

Sec. 57. (1) The department may at any time require an applicant or a licensee to furnish current, verified financial statements. (2) The department is not required to accept as accurate financial statements which have not been certified or independently audited and may independently inquire into the financial condition of an applicant.
