Sec. 62. (1) Upon denial of an application for a license, the department shall provide the applicant with notice of and reasons for the denial and a statement of the applicant's right to appeal under section 22 of 1941 PA 122, MCL 205.22. (2) Before denying an application, the department shall provide an applicant with a reasonable opportunity to cure any defect in the application. (3) An applicant may appeal the department's denial pursuant to section 22 of 1941 PA 122, MCL 205.22. If the applicant does not file a timely appeal, the denial is final.
