Sec. 791c. (1) A person shall not bring, carry, or transport an animal other than a service animal or qualified animal on a streetcar or in any area of a station used by a street railway system. (2) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction. (3) As used in this section: (a) "Qualified animal" means an animal that is not more than 25 pounds and is controlled in a cage. (b) "Service animal" means that term as defined in section 502c of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.502c.
