Importation of feeder pigs; requirements; entry of feral swine

Sec. 41. (1) Feeder pigs imported into this state shall meet 1 of the following requirements: (a) Originate directly from a feeder pig monitored herd or qualified negative pseudorabies free herd. (b) Originate directly from a herd in a state which participates in a pseudorabies testing program that is approved by the director. (c) Originate directly from a pseudorabies free state or region as designated by the United States department of agriculture or as determined by the director. (2) Feral swine shall not be allowed to enter the state of Michigan for any purpose without specific permission of the director.
