Applicant for licensure; conditions for sitting for examination

Sec. 709. An applicant for a license who meets the requirements described in article 2 may sit for an examination if he or she does all of the following, as applicable: (a) Establishes, in a manner satisfactory to the board, that he or she meets the experience requirement or an equivalent of that experience requirement for the particular class of licensure by submitting a notarized statement from current and past employers. (b) For an applicant for a fire alarm specialty license, establishes, in a manner satisfactory to the board, that he or she meets the certification level under the standards of the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology, or the equivalent as determined by the board, at the level required for the particular class of fire alarm specialty licensure.
