Mich. Comp. Laws § 37.251

Sec. 1. As used in this act: (a) "Local governmental unit" means a school district, intermediate school district, city, village, township, county, authority, or other political subdivision of this state. (b) "Person" means an individual, corporation, partnership, association, governmental entity, or any other legal entity. (c) "Personal information" means 1 or more of the following: (i) Social security number. (ii) Driver license number. (iii) State identification number. (d) "State agency" means a department, board, commission, office, agency, authority, or other unit of state government in the executive, legislative, or judicial branch.
