Powers and duties of department relative to maritime museum

Sec. 105. With respect to the maritime museum and in addition to its other powers and duties, the department may do any of the following: (a) Act to preserve maritime documents, artifacts, vessels, and related items of historical interest. (b) Accept on behalf of the state donations of money, real property, historical artifacts, and other personal property related to the themes of the maritime museum. Donations of money made under this subdivision shall be credited to the maritime museum trust fund. (c) Purchase historical artifacts related to the themes of the maritime museum within the limits of funds available.
