Mich. Comp. Laws § 4.221

Interim session legislative committees and commissions

1943, Act 167, Imd

Sec. 1. Committees and commissions of or appointed by the legislature, or either house thereof, may by resolution of the legislature, or either house thereof, perform and exercise such powers and authority in the interim between sessions of the legislature as shall be delegated to such committees or commissions in said resolution or resolutions.
