Duration of employment; compensation; use of funds

Sec. 7. (1) The department shall not employ a corpsmember for more than 2 years. (2) The department shall compensate a corpsmember at not more than twice the minimum wage established by law at the time of employment. (3) The department may utilize corps funds for mentors, instructors, trainers, crew leaders, and other state workers employed to provide guidance and training to corpsmembers.
