Allegation of domestic violence; consideration of motion to seal court records; “domestic violence” defined

Sec. 2972. (1) When considering a motion to seal court records in a civil or criminal matter, if the motion involves an allegation of domestic violence, the court shall consider the safety of any alleged victim or potential victim of the domestic violence. (2) As used in this section, "domestic violence" means that term as defined in section 1 of 1978 PA 389, MCL 400.1501.
