Panels; quorum; rotation; assignment of judges and cases

Sec. 311. (1) Unless otherwise provided by supreme court rule, the court of appeals shall sit in panels consisting of not less than 3 judges. (2) A majority of the judges assigned to a panel shall constitute a quorum for hearing cases and transacting business before the panel. (3) The rotation of panels and the assignment of judges and cases shall be in accordance with rules of the supreme court.
