Sec. 8308. (1) Subject to the limitations of jurisdictional amount and venue otherwise applicable in the particular court, the district court, municipal court, and a common pleas court shall have the same power as the circuit court with respect to civil actions to recover the possession of goods or chattels which are unlawfully taken or unlawfully detained. (2) The conditions upon which relief is available under this section shall be the same as are applicable to actions in the circuit court under section 2920(1). (3) Delivery of the goods or chattels to the claimant before judgment may be required only as provided in section 2920(1)(d).
