Mich. Comp. Laws § 722.162

Sec. 2. (1) This act shall not be construed to defeat, deny, or diminish a defense otherwise available to a foster parent or to a foster child in another action. (2) The reimbursement of a foster parent under this act shall not impose any liability on the department of social services or a foster parent.
