Minn. Stat. § 145.945

CERTAIN SALES OF CLEANING PRODUCTS PROHIBITED.

Known as the Uniform Duties to Disabled Persons Act

Subdivision 1. Prohibition.

In order to prevent the spread of infectious disease and avoidable infections and to promote best practices in sanitation, no person shall offer for retail sale in Minnesota any cleaning product that contains triclosan and is used by consumers for sanitizing or hand and body cleansing.

Subd. 2. Exception.

The prohibition in subdivision 1 shall not apply to individual products for which specific United States Food and Drug Administration approval for consumer use has been secured.
