Whenever the county treasurer shall receive the amount due from any such officer, by voluntary payment or by sale of goods, he shall give such officer duplicate receipts for the same, stating therein the whole amount received, how much for the state and how much for the county, and the particular fund, if any, to which the same belongs, and the officer taking such receipt shall, without delay, deposit one of them with the clerk of the county commission.
