Mo. Rev. Stat. § 150.460

Every itinerant vendor who sells or exposes for sale, at public or private sale, any goods, wares or merchandise without state license therefor, properly endorsed, or files any application, original or supplementary, which contains any false statement, or fails to comply with any of the requirements of sections 150.380 to 150.460, and every person, whether principal or agent, who, by circular, handbill, newspaper, or in any other manner, advertises any such sale before proper licenses are issued to the vendor, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, nor less than two hundred dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
