Protocols for referral of public assistance recipients to federal programs

Known as the Missouri Long-term Care Partnership Program Act

The family support division, with the cooperation of the division of vocational rehabilitation, shall establish a protocol where persons who qualify for public assistance, including aid to families with dependent children, general relief and medical assistance, because of a disability may be directed to an appropriate federal agency to apply for other benefits. The family support division shall also establish a procedure to identify applicants and recipients who may be entitled to supplement or supplant state benefits with other benefits through the Social Security Disability, Railroad Retirement, Supplemental Security Income, Veterans, Qualified Medicare Beneficiary and Specified Low Income Medicare Beneficiary and other programs.
