Governor Mel Carnahan Memorial Highway designated in Phelps County

Known as the State Highway Utility Relocation Act

Effective: 28 Aug 2005; (L. 2005 S.B. 233)

The portion of Interstate 44 in Phelps County from Route V east to Route 68 shall be designated the "Governor Mel Carnahan Memorial Highway", in recognition of the former governor's contributions to the state of Missouri. The department of transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs commemorating this portion of highway. Costs for such designation shall be paid for by the Democrat Freshman Caucus.
