Mo. Rev. Stat. § 28.005

Secretary of state, term of office, term begins, when

Effective: 28 Aug 1987; (L. 1987 H.B. 456)

The secretary of state shall hold office for a term of four years beginning at 12:00 noon on the second Monday in January next after his or her election and until a successor is elected and qualified.
