Known as the Intractable Pain Treatment Act

The act spans §§ 334–334 (194 sections).

Effective: 28 Aug 1989; (L. 1989 S.B. 217 § 11, 12)

1. No physician assistant shall be used in any office of a physician or in a clinic or hospital unless a notice stating that a physician assistant is utilized is posted in a prominent place in such office, clinic or hospital.

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 334.735 to 334.748, or the rules of the Missouri state board of registration for the healing arts, the governing body of every hospital shall have full authority to limit the functions and activities of any physician assistants performed in such hospital.
