Mo. Rev. Stat. § 376.1121

Denial of claim, long-term care insurance, duties of issuer

Known as the Standard Valuation Law

The act spans §§ 376–376 (408 sections).

Effective: 28 Aug 2002; (L. 2002 H.B. 1568 merged with S.B. 1009)

If a claim under a long-term care insurance contract is denied, the issuer shall, within sixty days of the date of a written request by the policyholder or certificate holder, or a representative thereof:

(1) Provide a written explanation of the reasons for the denial; and

(2) Make available all information directly related to the denial.
