Purchasing agent, how appointed, compensation, assistants

The county commission of any county may by order of the commission appoint some suitable person to the position of county purchasing agent. The purchasing agent shall serve at the pleasure of the county commission, and at such compensation as is determined by the commission. The county commission may appoint assistants for the purchasing agent and may fix their compensation.
