Autopsy, when — performed by whom — report filed (certain counties)

Effective: 28 Aug 1973; (L. 1973 S.B. 122 § 9)

In cases in which, in the opinion of the medical examiner, an autopsy is necessary, the autopsy shall be performed by the medical examiner if he is a pathologist or by such competent pathologist as may be authorized and employed by the medical examiner. A detailed description of the findings of the autopsy, and the conclusions drawn therefrom, shall be filed in the office of the medical examiner.
