Mo. Rev. Stat. § 82.500

Before entering upon his official duties the city treasurer shall enter into a good and sufficient bond, approved by the city comptroller, in the penal sum of three hundred thousand dollars, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties of his office and the accounting for, according to law, of all public funds coming into his hands as such city treasurer.
