It shall be the duty of the officer or officers of such city, village or incorporated town as are designated by law to draw warrants on the treasurer of such city, village or incorporated town, upon request, in writing, by said board of trustees, to draw warrants on the treasurer of such city, village or incorporated town, payable to the treasurer of said board of trustees, for all funds belonging to said pension fund, as aforesaid.
