It shall be the duty of the officer or officers of such city who are designated by law to draw warrants on the treasurer of such city, upon request, in writing, by said board of trustees, to draw warrants on the treasurer of such city, payable to the treasurer of such board of trustees, for all funds belonging to said pension funds as aforesaid.
