February twentieth of each year shall be known and designated as "John Donaldson Day" in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appropriate activities and events to commemorate the life and accomplishments of John Donaldson, one of the best pitchers to play in the Negro Leagues and a member of the inaugural Kansas City Monarchs team.
