“Peeler crab” and “soft-shell crab” defined

Laws, 1988, ch. 548, § 3, eff from and after July 1, 1988.

“Peeler crab” means a blue crab having a new soft shell fully developed under the hard shell and having a definite white, pink or red line or rim on the outer edge of the back fin or flipper.

“Soft-shell crab” means a peeler crab which has recently shed its hard shell.
