Miss. Code Ann. § 73-63-13

Removal or suspension of board members

Known as the The Registered Professional Geologists Practice Act

The act spans §§ 73–73 (29 sections).

Laws, 1997, ch. 522, § 7, eff from and after July 1, 1997.

The Governor may remove or suspend any member of the board for any of the following causes:

A member is no longer qualified for appointment to the board;

Misconduct, incompetence, neglect of official duties, malfeasance or inability to perform official duties due to incapacitation;

Commission of a felony or violation of this chapter resulting in disciplinary action; or

Unexcused failure to attend at least one-half (1/2) of the regularly scheduled meetings held in a calendar year.
