Miss. Code Ann. § 97-9-129

Sentencing

Laws, 2006, ch. 387, § 15; Laws, 2017, ch. 382, § 9, eff from and after July 1, 2017.

(1) A person who has been convicted of any Class 1 felony under this article shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not more than fifteen (15) years or fined not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both.

(2) A person who has been convicted of any Class 2 felony under this article shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not more than ten (10) years or fined not more than Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00), or both.

(3) A person who has been convicted of any misdemeanor under this article shall be sentenced to confinement in the county jail for a term of not more than one (1) year or fined not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or both.
