Authority of commanding officer to arrest

The commanding officer at any drill, parade, encampment, or other duty may order those under the commanding officer's command to perform any military duty the commanding officer requires. The commanding officer may arrest, for the time of the drill, parade, encampment, or other duty, an officer or enlisted person who disobeys the orders of a superior officer.
