Governor chief budget officer -- appointment of budget director

Known as the Budget Act

The act spans §§ 17–17 (40 sections).

(1) The governor shall be the chief budget officer of the state and shall appoint a budget director who shall hold office at the pleasure of the governor and perform the duties assigned by law or by the governor.

(2) The budget director may appoint a chief assistant and may employ such other personnel as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
