The historic preservation officer shall adopt standardized procedures and guidelines for inventorying, collecting data on, documenting, and evaluating all types of heritage property. In adopting the standardized procedures and guidelines, the historic preservation officer may consult with state and federal agencies experienced in reviewing and mitigating environmental and cultural impacts caused by development of properties.
