Mont. Code Ann. § 30-23-106

Enforcement

Known as the Genetic Information Privacy Act

The act spans §§ 30–30 (6 sections).

(1) The attorney general has the sole authority to enforce this part.

(2) The attorney general may initiate a civil enforcement action against a person for violation of this part.

(3) In an action to enforce this part, the attorney general may recover:

(a) actual damages to the consumer;

(b) costs;

(c) reasonable attorney fees; and

(d) $2,500 for each violation of 30-23-104.
