Policy waiting periods not cumulative

Known as the Long-Term Care Insurance Act

A waiting or elimination period contained in a long-term care insurance policy under which an insured is required to wait a specified period of time before receiving policy benefits must be concurrent with any 90-day period used to determine whether an individual is a chronically ill individual.
