Mont. Code Ann. § 37-47-345

Investigations and issuance of board complaints for violations of this chapter or rules adopted pursuant to this chapter may be made through department investigation or at the board's request by any peace officer; warden of the department of fish, wildlife, and parks; or federal agency enforcement personnel.
