Offenses on highways, highway rest areas, state highway properties adjacent to highway, and capitol complex or involving motor vehicles

Patrol officers are considered police officers for the purpose of making arrests for all offenses occurring on the highways, highway rest areas, state highway properties adjacent to the highway, and the capitol complex as defined in 2-17-802 or involving the use of motor vehicles or the registration thereof and for the purpose of serving warrants of arrest in connection with such violations.
