The coroner may direct a properly qualified expert to conduct any test or examination that the coroner reasonably believes is necessary to determine the cause, manner, and circumstances of a death or to identify a dead human body. The coroner may also require examination by the next of kin or any other person when necessary to identify a dead human body.
