Authorization to use federal funds

The governing body may apply for and receive from the federal government, on behalf of the district, any money that may be appropriated by congress for aiding in local public works projects. The governing body may borrow from the federal government any funds available for assisting in the planning or financing of local public works projects and repay the loan out of the money received from the tax levy provided for in this part.
