Mont. Code Ann. § 7-14-245

Hearing on question of dissolution of district -- decision

En. 11-4512 by Sec. 12, Ch. 355, L. 1975; R.C.M. 1947, 11-4512(part).

(1) If upon such hearing the commissioners find that the district is not indebted beyond funds immediately available to extinguish all of its debts and obligations and that there is good reason for the dissolution of such district, the commissioners shall enter upon their minutes an order dissolving such district.

(2) Such order shall be filed of record, and the dissolution shall be effective for all purposes 6 months after the date of filing the order of dissolution, provided that at or before such time, the board of said district certifies to the county commissioners that all debts and obligations of the district have been paid, discharged, or irrevocably settled, together with proof thereof.
