Mont. Code Ann. § 7-14-4653

Pending the actual issuance or delivery of revenue bonds, the commission may issue temporary or interim bonds, certificates, or receipts of any denomination whatsoever, with or without coupons, to be exchanged for definitive bonds when ready for delivery or to be paid at or before maturity, with accrued interest, from the proceeds of the definitive bonds.
