Procedure to effectuate name change in records and other papers

(1) From and after the rendition of the decree, the official records in the custody of the several county officers shall be styled and designated, as in each instance may be proper, with the new name of the county as provided by the decree. All printed blanks and forms, all printed matter whatsoever, and all written records of such county shall be styled and designated with the new name. All the official records, blanks, forms, books, and papers belonging to such county before the entry of such decree shall be styled and designated with the new name as provided in the decree.

(2) For the convenience of searchers of public records and in order to prevent confusion with respect to land titles or in any other respect, it shall be proper to style, designate, or refer to such records, books, papers, blanks, and forms as were in existence before the rendition of such decree in the following manner:
