Mont. Code Ann. § 7-32-128

Meetings of the commission must be held upon call of the presiding officer, the vice presiding officer in the absence or inability of the presiding officer, or a majority of the commission members. Hearings in all cases involving employee discharge or termination must be held upon request of the employee discharged or terminated.
