A county that has not entered into a cooperative or other written agreement with the state for wildland fire protection shall reimburse the state for costs incurred by the state in connection with state fire suppression activities resulting from a wildland fire emergency on land in that county that is not in a wildland fire protection district, as provided in 76-13-204, or protected through an agreement with a recognized agency, as provided in 7-33-2202 (4)(b).
