Municipal executive officers

(1)En

(1) The executive officers of a city or town are the mayor, the marshal (if there is one), and such officers as the council may provide for assessment; collecting, auditing, safekeeping, and disbursing the revenue; and keeping the records and journals of the city or town.

(2) The mayor is the chief executive officer of the city or town.
