Mont. Code Ann. § 75-10-101

The purpose of this part is to encourage the good management of solid waste and the conservation of natural resources through the promotion or development of systems to collect, separate, reclaim, recycle, and dispose of solid waste for energy production purposes when economically feasible and to provide a coordinated state solid waste management and resource recovery plan.
